Gulf Island is seeking a Painter for night shift to prepare and apply paints on various surfaces using airless and conventional spray methods. The role includes assisting with inventory to ensure supplies are available for production needs and maintaining safety in the paint department.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year metal painting experience in a manufacturing setting, with attention to detail and ability to read a tape measure. Must pass pre-employment screening and background checks.

Qualifications

• Requires 1+ years of experience in metal painting in a production/manufacturing setting.
• Must be able to read a tape measure for surface measurements and paint application.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and mix paints according to specs, ensuring correct color and texture.
• Apply paint using airless and conventional spray methods for a smooth finish.
• Perform metal finishing tasks for surface prep prior to painting.
• Conduct inventory checks and requisition supplies to prevent delays.
• Measure paint thickness to meet standards.
• Follow all safety procedures in the paint dept.
• Assist team members to maintain smooth operations.
