Responsibilities

• Perform metal finishing steps to prepare surfaces for painting
• Conduct regular inventory checks and requisition supplies to avoid production delays
• Measure and verify paint thickness to meet quality standards
• Adhere to all safety procedures in the paint department
• Assist team members and support smooth operations in the department
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

The Painter will also assist with inventory management, ensuring that supplies are well stocked and available for production needs. This position will be working night shift.

Main Purpose: The Painter is responsible for preparing, mixing and applying paints to various surfaces using airless and conventional spray methods. The Painter will also assist with inventory management, ensuring that supplies are well stocked and available for production needs. This position will be working night shift.

Essential Functions

• Prepare and mix paints according to specifications, ensuring the correct color, texture and consistency
• Apply paint to surfaces using airless and conventional spray methods, ensuring a smooth, even and high-quality finish
• Perform metal finishing tasks to ensure the surfaces are properly prepared for painting
• Conduct regular inventory checks on paints, supplies and materials and requisition additional supplies as needed to avoid production delays
• Accurately measure and check paint thickness to meet quality and industry standards
• Understand and adhere to all operating and safety procedures within the paint department
• Provide assistance to other team members within the paint department as required, contributing to the smooth flow of operations
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor

Environmental Conditions

80 to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors. Individuals will be required to work in changes of temperature, hot, cold, humid, wet and dry conditions, dust, mud etc. They will also be exposed to paint thinner and paint fumes.
