Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral Health is seeking a Mental Health Technician for the Neurodivergent Unit on the night shift, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus. In this role, you’ll help create a safe, structured, and supportive environment for individuals with diverse communication styles, sensory needs, and support needs.

You will collaborate with nurses and clinicians, provide direct patient support, assist with daily living activities, and apply trauma-informed de-escalation techniques as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• 1+ years of experience in a healthcare, behavioral, or social services setting preferred.
• Education or work experience in psychology, human services, nursing, or social work a plus.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule including days, evenings, overnight and weekend shifts.
• Physical capability to bend, stoop, lift, and assist with patient interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to patients in a respectful, person-centered way
• Help maintain a calm, safe, and therapeutic unit environment
• Observe, document, and communicate changes in behavior or well-being
• Support daily routines, activities of daily living, and unit programming
• Use de-escalation and trauma-informed approaches as needed
• Collaborate with nurses, clinicians, and the treatment team
