Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral Health in Waynesville, Missouri seeks a Mental Health Technician for the Neurodivergent Unit on the night shift. You will support patients, maintain a safe and structured environment, and collaborate with nurses and clinicians.

The role requires a HS diploma, 21+ and flexibility with shifts. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered along with a competitive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• 1+ years of experience in a healthcare, behavioral, or social services setting preferred.
• Education or work experience in psychology, human services, nursing, or social work a plus.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule including days, evenings, overnight and weekend shifts.
• Physical capability to bend, stoop, lift, and assist with patient interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to patients in a respectful, person-centered way.
• Help maintain a calm, safe, and therapeutic unit environment.
• Observe, document, and communicate changes in behavior or well-being.
• Support daily routines, activities of daily living, and unit programming.
• Use de-escalation and trauma-informed approaches as needed.
• Collaborate with nurses, clinicians, and the treatment team.
