Job summary

Meadowview Behavioral Hospital is seeking a Mental Health Technician (MHT) to join the overnight team. You will provide ongoing care, supervision, and positive role modeling under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to create a therapeutic environment.

You will accurately record vital signs, implement treatment interventions, and participate in crisis intervention and MHT-led groups using CPI techniques. You’ll assist with discharge planning and daily patient care, including personal hygiene and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA/NAR required; degree from an accredited college or university in social work/psychology preferred.
• CPR certification and crisis intervention training completed within 10 days of employment.
• Minimum one year of related psychiatric patient care experience.
• Flexible hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Record vital signs accurately and report changes to the RN.
• Follow treatment team interventions and assist with development and revision.
• Lead MHT groups and use CPI techniques.
• Assist patients through discharge and life adjustments.
• Assist with personal hygiene and hospital codes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.
