Job summary

Millwood Hospital in Arlington, TX is seeking a Mental Health Technician (MHT) to support patient safety and participate in a multidisciplinary treatment team. The role involves continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling for patients spanning preschool to geriatrics on the appropriate unit.

Under RN supervision, the MHT assists with care, safety protocols, CPI training, and contributes to a supportive hospital environment in a 134-bed facility part of Universal Health

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• CNA certification preferred.
• Degree in social work, recreational therapy, or appropriate therapeutic discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mental Health Technician (MHT) ensures patient safety and functions as an active part of the treatment team.
• Provides continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and role modeling to patients of varying ages.
• Works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and supports unit operations.

Education

High School degree or equivalent

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred

Degree in social work, recreational therapy, or related discipline preferred
