Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 180 days experience as Mental Health Technician, Psychology Technician, Psychiatric Technician, or related roles as listed.
• Maintains current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
• Must obtain and maintain Handle with Care (HWC) Certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Documents observations on assigned patients in legible, accurate format following hospital procedures.
• Communicates patient condition information to the RN and healthcare team.
• Assists with nursing education groups.
• Completes AM/PM care, vital signs, and milieu supervision of patient care as assigned.
• Demonstrates competency in unit tasks and skill as defined by competency lists.
• Transports and delivers items, equipment, and medications throughout the facility.
• Maintains attendance consistent with policies and regulatory standards.
• Participates in nursing Performance Improvement activities and ensures regulatory compliance.

Education
