Job summary

Trinity Health Livonia seeks a dedicated Mental Health Tech for the Behavioral Medicine Department on the night shift. You will support RNs, assist patients with daily living activities, and help facilitate didactic groups and discharge planning as part of a collaborative care team in a busy hospital setting.

The role emphasizes compassionate, patient-focused care, accurate charting, and clear communication with patients, families, and the health care team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate degree or 60 hours in human services preferred (nursing, psychology, social work).
• CAC-1 and/or Social Work Tech preferred.
• BCLS and CPI required.
• Experience running didactic groups and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Observe patient status and assist with activities of daily living.
• Document progress notes and updates in the medical chart.
• Follow care plan as outlined by the RN and participate in the treatment team.
• Instruct and educate patients individually and in groups.
• Support discharge planning and aftercare as part of the care team.
