Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect nursing care to meet physiological and emotional needs of the resident-patient including adolescents and adults and their families within the correctional system.
• Performs assessments of resident-patient in various settings including intake, health care unit, and infirmary.
• Collaborates with health care professionals and security officers in a correctional environment.
• Identifies patient-centered goals and nursing objectives and implements prescribed interventions.
• Plans nursing care based on assessments and coordinates referrals as needed.
• Acts as team leader or charge nurse, delegating duties and guiding care delivery.
