Dominion Hospital in Falls Church, VA is hiring a Mental Health Clinical Nurse Coordinator - RN for night shift. This full‑time role leads nursing care on the unit, coordinates admissions/discharges, and partners with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high‑quality patient care.

The CNC oversees staffing, safety, and regulatory compliance while supporting staff development and a patient‑first culture. RN licensure and BLS/CPI certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing or RN diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current, active RN license in the state of employment (or multi-state license).
• BLS for Healthcare Providers and crisis prevention training as part of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and oversees high‑quality, patient‑centered care with a multidisciplinary team.
• Provides clinical leadership and support to nursing staff with appropriate assignments and policies.
• Promotes patient safety, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance through evidence‑based practices and CQI initiatives.
• Assists with admissions, discharges, and care coordination to support throughput and outcomes.
• Monitors unit operations, equipment, and compliance with standards.
• Fosters positive patient and employee experiences and supports service recovery initiatives.
• Coaches, mentors, and develops staff through training and performance feedback.
• Participates in recruitment, onboarding, and performance management processes.
• Collaborates with physicians and leaders to promote teamwork and operational excellence.
• Assists with staffing, scheduling, labor management, inventory, and resource utilization.
• Represents the organization at community events and initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
