Dominion Hospital in Falls Church, VA is seeking a Mental Health Clinical Nurse Coordinator (RN) to lead nursing care on the Adult Unit. This full-time role coordinates care delivery, guides staff, and ensures safety and regulatory compliance across shifts, including rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• RN with active license in the state of employment (Virginia).
• Associates or RN Diploma required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1+ year nursing experience in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and oversees delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care with a multidisciplinary team.
• Provides clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff and ensures appropriate care assignments.
• Promotes safety, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance through evidence-based practices.
• Assists with patient admission, discharge, and care coordination to support throughput.
• Monitors unit operations, equipment, and adherence to standards.
• Fosters a positive patient and staff experience through service initiatives and engagement.
• Coaches, mentors, and develops staff; supports performance management activities.
• Participates in recruitment, onboarding, and disciplinary processes when needed.
• Collaborates with physicians and leadership to achieve organizational goals.
• Assists with staffing, scheduling, inventory, and resource utilization.
• Represents the organization professionally at community events and initiatives.
