Job summary

Cornerstone, affiliated with Methodist Retirement Communities in Texarkana, Texas, seeks a dedicated Resident Care Assistant for the Memory Support Unit to work 7:00pm–7:00am. You will support residents under licensed staff supervision and assist with routine tasks in a compassionate, dignified setting.

You will lead activities, help develop and implement care plans, and coordinate with nursing staff to promote residents’ physical, cognitive and emotional well-being.

Qualifications

• Two years of resident care experience, preferably as a hospital or long-term care nursing assistant.
• Knowledge of basic patient care procedures.
• High school graduate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Administer the care of residents under the supervision of licensed staff and assist nursing staff with routine tasks.
• Use one-on-one and group relations to facilitate participation in activities and support residents' capacities.
• Lead and coordinate activities and programs for residents and assist in developing and implementing care plans.
