Job summary

WM (Waste Management) in Wisconsin is seeking a Plant Associate to unload waste from incoming vehicles, decontaminate vehicles, and stage waste for scanning and processing in a safe, productive manner. The role is based in Sturtevant, with a shift pattern that supports overnight operations.

The position requires 3 months of plant operations experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to communicate effectively. A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 Months of experience, preferably in plant operations environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and understand and follow health and safety directives and performance and conduct standards, policies and procedures that apply to the role and location.

Responsibilities

• Unload waste from incoming vehicles. Separate non-autoclavable waste to be incinerated.
• Stage waste on conveyor system or properly stack waste for scanning in the Biotrack system.
• Scan waste into the Biotrack system for proper recordkeeping purposes.
• Load autoclave bins or incinerator hopper with waste for processing.
• Place reusable containers on tub wash line for decontamination.
• Operate tub wash unit and tub wash sprayer and ensure proper loading for reuse.
• Decontaminate vehicles cargo-carrying portion and ensure no liquid on floor; inform supervisor when ready to move from dock area.
• Ensure housekeeping issues are addressed immediately (spills, dry floor, debris).
• Other duties as assigned.
