Job summary

Sunrise Medical Laboratories, Inc. in Hicksville, NY is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Technologist/Technician. Pay ranges from $38.00–$54.00/hr for MT and $30.00–$49.00/hr for MLT, with a sign-on bonus eligible.

Shift is 11:59pm–8:30am, Monday–Friday with rotating Saturdays. Responsibilities include performing moderate to high complexity tests on Roche 775 and immunoassay analyzers, reviewing results, ensuring specimen integrity, and following QA/safety policies.

Qualifications

• New York State License (Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician) is required.
• Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or related field preferred.
• ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and high complexity testing using state-of-the-art Roche 775 and Immunoassay analyzers.
• Analyze, review, and report test results and quality control results and take remedial action when indicated.
• Ensure specimen integrity by adhering to the laboratory’s procedure for specimen handling and processing.
• Adhere to departmental policies and procedures including quality control, quality assurance, and safety.

Education
