Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Laboratory Technologist for the night shift (11:30pm–8:00am) with rotating weekends. You will perform clinical laboratory testing per established protocols, maintain equipment, and ensure quality assurance across patient samples and QA materials.

The role requires MT/MLS certification at hire and a minimum of one year of lab experience, with proficiency in Excel/Word and LIS systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• Active MT/MLS certification required at hire.
• Minimum 1 year laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains acceptable accuracy in patient, QA, proficiency and competency testing.
• Documents QA failures or trends and interprets results.
• Maintains instrumentation for testing and associated records.
• Analyses lab data and reports results accurately with established turnaround times.
• Performs hand-offs and ensures compliance with department procedures.
