Job summary

Wellstar Health System, Inc. in Georgia is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) to join our night shift team on weekends. You will perform clinical laboratory testing under supervision, maintain equipment and records, and ensure quality and accuracy of results.

The role requires MT(ASCP) or equivalent certification and a Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related field; prior blood bank experience is preferred. This is a full-time weekend position with holiday coverage expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• MT(ASCP) or equivalent certification required (or equivalent).
• Minimum 1 year laboratory experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and data entry; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains acceptable accuracy in patient testing and QA proficiency testing.
• Performs clinical laboratory testing per established protocols with independent judgment.
• Maintains instrumentation and records; participates in QA investigations.
• Communicates lab results and hand-offs to team members clearly.
• Supports performance improvement initiatives and inspection readiness.
