Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring an entry-level Medical Laboratory Scientist I in Houston, TX, Sunday to Thursday, 12:00 AM to 8:30 AM. You will follow procedures for specimen handling, test analyses and reporting, while maintaining quality records and complying with CLIA, HIPAA and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

BS in Medical Technology preferred; or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology, or Associate's degree in a Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, or previously qualified as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493.

Responsibilities

Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, testing, reporting and recordkeeping.
Maintain proficiency testing records and ensure testing aligns with patient samples.
Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures and review results.
Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and safety guidelines.
