Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist I to join our Houston, TX team on a 2:00 PM–10:30 PM schedule with rotational weekends. The role offers a competitive pay starting at $29.50+ per hour, with 10%–15% shift differential for applicable hours and potential annual bonus opportunities.

Responsibilities include following procedures for specimen handling, performing analyses, reviewing results, and maintaining accurate records while adhering to CLIA/HIPAA/OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• BS in Medical Technology preferred; or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology, or Associates degree in a Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, or Previously qualified as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493
• MLS/MLT credentials may be considered where appropriate

Responsibilities

• Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test result.
• Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures.
• Review and release test results.
• Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting and notify supervisor
