Job summary

Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center in Oregon City is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist on a full-time night shift. The role emphasizes accurate and timely reporting of high complexity tests with minimal supervision, including pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical duties.

Strong candidates will hold a NAACLS-accredited MLS degree or a related bachelor's degree and possess or be eligible for CLIA/ASCP or equivalent national certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science from a NAACLS accredited MLS program or
• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences
• 1 year experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in a department in the laboratory or exceeds principal duties and functions in the MLS I job description

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical duties including specimen evaluation, data analysis, and instrument maintenance and problem resolution.
• Accurately and timely report high complexity laboratory test results with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with acute-care and outpatient caregivers and Laboratory Services staff to support patient care.
