Job summary

Laboratory Sciences of Arizona in Gilbert, Arizona is seeking a laboratory professional for night shift to perform waived and non-waived tests with supervision, ensuring accuracy and timely results under CLIA ’88 and other regulatory requirements.

You may assist with specimen collection and processing, maintain instrument calibration, and contribute to department quality and productivity while adhering to accreditation standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in laboratory science or Bachelor’s degree in chemical/biological science. Transcripts reviewed for eligibility.
• Equivalents meeting 42CFR493.1489 or 42CFR493.1491 criteria may be accepted.
• Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy in applicable departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived and non-waived testing accurately and timely per CLIA ’88. Calibrate and troubleshoot instruments.
• Verify abnormal results and document deviations; maintain productivity and quality standards.
• Assist with specimen collection, receipt, and processing while ensuring correct patient/specimen ID.
• Support training of staff and participate in department meetings and project work.
