Job summary

Beacon Health System in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a Full-time Medical Laboratory Technician for night shifts (9:00 pm–7:30 am) with rotating weekends. The role includes independent testing, specimen collection, and ensuring accuracy and safety in a fast-paced clinical lab.

Minimum qualifications include an associate degree in medical laboratory technology or related field, with ASCP or equivalent certification encouraged. A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 is offered.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate- and high-complexity laboratory tests per training and policy.
• Evaluates specimen integrity; collects specimens and processes for testing.
• Reviews data for accuracy before reporting results; communicates critical results promptly.
• Performs quality control, calibration, and testing verifications as required.
• Operates and maintains laboratory instruments; assists with troubleshooting.
