Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Leominster, MA is seeking a Medical Lab Tech (MLT) to join our on-site laboratory team for night shifts. The role involves performing routine and complex tests, calibrating instruments, and ensuring quality control.

The position requires an associate degree in a laboratory science and may require MLT (ASCP) certification. A signing bonus may be available during the interview process.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a laboratory science (chemical or biological) or medical laboratory technology.
• Preferred: MLT (ASCP) certification.
• Minimum one year of clinical laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex laboratory tests across major areas of the clinical laboratory.
• Prepare and calibrate instruments, perform maintenance, and document procedures.
• Adhere to quality control policies to ensure reliable data.
• Interpret and verify test results and communicate critical values to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain records to comply with laboratory regulations (JCAHO, CAP, AABB, Medicare, Medicaid).
