Job summary

Baptist Health System, Inc. is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for PRN night shifts (7pm-7am) at the Jeffersonville ER & Urgent Care. The role requires high standards of quality and knowledge in clinical testing, with focus on blood banking, chemistry, hematology, and microbiology.

The qualified candidate will have a minimum two-year diploma in a biological or chemical science (or Medical Laboratory Technology) and must obtain MLT certification (ASCP or AMT) within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Two-year diploma in a biological/chemical science or Medical Laboratory Technology including key modules.
• Certification as an MLT (ASCP or AMT) within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to perform high-complexity testing and adhere to QC standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity testing according to SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of testing, results, and QC data.
• Collaborate with ER & Urgent Care teams to ensure timely, accurate reporting.
