Job summary

St. Mary’s Medical Center is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II for night shift on a per diem basis in West Palm Beach, FL.

The role performs a variety of lab tests on blood, tissue, and body fluids using automated and manual methods to report results for patient care. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology, 2 years in an acute care lab (or 1 year with a Master’s), and CLIA High Complexity eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent; CLIA High Complexity testing eligibility.
• 2 years as a medical technologist in acute care facility, or 1 year with Master's.
• Licensed/credentialed as CLINICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST.

Responsibilities

• Performs automated and manual patient testing.
• Operates instruments and equipment per approved polices and procedures.
• Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of chemicals, reagents, and supplies.
• Displays effective communication skills regarding lab related issues.
