Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System's Main Campus in Cleveland is seeking a Medical Technologist/MLT/Lab Technician for Blood Bank. You will perform and interpret tests at all complexity levels, ensure quality, and support patient care with precision and teamwork.

This role offers night shift (11:00pm-7:30am) with a sign-on bonus up to $5,000. A Bachelor's degree in a medical laboratory science field is required, along with CLIA high complexity qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• Meets the CLIA qualifications for high complexity testing personnel grandfathering clause.
• Diploma and/or transcripts must be provided.
• Education outside of the United States requires translation to English and NACES equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analyses, and reporting.
• Maintain regulatory knowledge relevant to job duties and ensure quality control documentation.
• Adhere to quality control policies, instrument calibrations and maintenance.
• Identify and correct problems affecting test performance or reporting.
• Maintain clear records and participate in continuing education and competency assessments.
• May educate and train students, employees or residents on theory and procedures.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science

Meets the CLIA qualifications for high complexity testing personnel grandfathering clause

Diploma and/or transcripts must be provided

Education outside of the United States requires diploma/transcripts translated into English and proof of foreign equivalency from a NACES member
