Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Float RN with Med Surg Tele experience for a night shift acute care float position in Kentucky. Must hold a KY or compact RN license and have strong telemetry, IV therapy, and chest tube/BPAP readiness.

The role includes a 1:6 patient ratio, 3x12 night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), and on-call requirements. Travel-friendly benefits provided by the agency enhance compensation and housing options.

Qualifications

• Active KY or compact RN license is required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience.
• Med Surg Tele experience required.
• Community hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Float across medical-surgical and telemetry units as needed.
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
• Patient ratio of 1:6.
• On-call on a rotating basis.
• Open to block scheduling when allowed by the facility.
• Provide acute care nursing services with floating across units.
