Job summary
Next Move Healthcare in Dixon, Illinois is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Med-Surg to join its inpatient nursing team. The Med-Surg RN will care for adult patients with acute medical conditions, assess, administer meds, monitor changes, and coordinate discharge planning.
Candidates must have at least one year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience and Illinois RN licensure. This role offers full-time night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with night and weekend differentials and a substantial
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license for Illinois.
- Minimum of one year of Med-Surg nursing experience.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and rotate weekends/holidays.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Med-Surg patients per care plans.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing reassessments.
- Monitor patient conditions and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications and IV therapies per orders.
- Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary team.
- Educate patients and families on medications, diagnoses, and discharge plans.
