MaineGeneral Health is actively seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our 2 West team in Augusta, Maine. This 36-bed unit specializes in a med/surg environment with a small oncology focus, offering a collaborative, family-like team culture and opportunities for career growth.

The role is 36 hours per week on the night shift (7p-7a) with weekend and holiday rotation. A $4000 Early Acceptance Incentive is available for nursing students who apply early and sign

Qualifications

• Maine state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or ability to obtain in a timely fashion.
• New graduate RNs are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize resources.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral and psychosocial support needs.
• Educates patient and family appropriate to age, culture, and circumstance.
• Delegates care to ancillary personnel and may precept students and new hires.
