Job summary

MaineGeneral Health in Augusta, ME, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the 3 West Medical/Surgical unit on a night shift. This 36-hour per week role involves three 12-hour shifts, with weekend and holiday rotations.

NEW GRADS may qualify for the $4,000 Early Acceptance Incentive if you apply early. You will provide direct patient care on a high-acuity, post-surgical unit, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care and patient education.

Qualifications

• Maine state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or ability to obtain in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral and psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition and circumstances.
• Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel; may precept student nurses and new hires.
