Carlsbad Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical Unit on the night shift. The role offers up to a $30,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates and new increased pay rates.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
• RN license and BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred
• Strong knowledge of nursing processes, patient assessment, and medication administration

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with policies and the nursing process.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings, reporting changes to the care team.
• Administers medications and monitors for side effects with accurate documentation.
• Collaborates with physicians and the care team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions as needed.
