Job summary

Appling Healthcare in Baxley, GA seeks a Med Surg Registered Nurse for the 7p-7a shift. The RN assesses patient needs and implements medical plans while monitoring treatments and outcomes. You will collaborate with the care team to ensure orders are followed and patient safety is maintained.

The role requires a Georgia RN license, BLS, CPI, ACLS, and PALS with specified timelines. Prior RN experience is preferred, and you will participate in rounds, discharge education, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the State of Georgia.
• Current BLS certification (must obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Current CPI certification (must obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Current ACLS certification (must obtain within 6 months of hire).
• Current PALS certification (must obtain within 6 months of hire).
• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Creates and reviews care plans; ensures plans, medications, treatments, and nurse notes comply with provider orders.
• Develops a care plan within 12 hours based on nursing assessment and customized patient needs.
• Applies and discontinues telemetry monitor per physician order.
• Updates care plans following medical orders and changing patient conditions.
• Starts IVs and inserts catheters and tubes as ordered by the physician.
• Administers medications per hospital policy and procedures.
