Job summary

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital is seeking a Med/Surg Patient Care Tech (PCT) for full-time night shifts. The role supports licensed nurses by providing direct patient care and helping with ADLs, vitals, and safety measures in a high-acuity medical/surgical unit.

Preferred candidates include CNAs, PCTs, EMTs, NAs, or surgical tech experience. Benefits are provided through BJC Total Rewards and shift differentials apply.

• Collects vital information and reports changes to the nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Implements direct patient care under the supervision of the nurse, promoting patient and family centered care.
• Collects vitals and reports changes to the nursing team.
• Assists with ADLs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing as requested.
• Ensures supplies and equipment are available to meet patient needs.
• Participates in patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance activities.
