Job summary

Schaeffler is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for 3rd shift in Fort Mill, SC. You will maintain, repair, install and set up mechanical equipment, contributing to planned maintenance and responsive fixes to keep lines running.

The role requires reading blueprints, operating complex machinery, and lifting heavy items. A high school diploma or GED with field experience is required, with preferred technical training and power tools experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with extensive field experience.
• Ability to use measuring instruments to identify defects.
• Follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to operate and understand complex machinery.
• Good visual acuity; able to lift heavy objects if needed.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, install and set up mechanical equipment, machines, tools or parts.
• Plan maintenance schedules and execute assignments.
• Analyze technical issues and complete repairs with reference to electrical systems.
• Execute ramp up, setup and start procedures to prepare machines for operations.
• Contribute to installation projects on site and support Industrial Engineers.
• Support compliance of technical documentation for processes and equipment.
• Follow safety and production rules and use PPE at all times.
