Kimble Companies in Dover, OH is seeking a skilled Mechanic Shop Supervisor for the third shift to oversee technicians and daily operations under the Shop Manager. You will ensure work is performed correctly, coach new staff, and support hiring decisions while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, leadership experience, and a valid driver's license, with background in gasoline/diesel engines, air brakes, hydraulics, drive trains, and electrical

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; mechanical schooling preferred.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Experienced mechanic with supervisory background.
• 2 years supervisory experience.
• Experience with gasoline and/or diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, drive trains and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of shop safety and working with a variety of tools and equipment.
• DOT OOS criteria is a must.

Responsibilities

• Supervises technicians and daily shop operations.
• Coaches new employees and provides proper training.
• Makes hiring recommendations to management.
• Ensures work is completed correctly and documented.
• Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of equipment issues.
• Documents repair time using fleet maintenance software.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA standards and safety practices.
