Job summary

GoTriangle is seeking a Mechanic I to perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and inspections on buses and related equipment. The role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and contributes to a safe, efficient fleet operation.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, basic mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. A Class B CDL with passenger endorsement and DOT readiness are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of related experience or training preferred.
• Must have own tools.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver's License with a passenger endorsement.
• DOT physical requirements must be met and maintained.
• Some proficiency with computers is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance services and minor repairs on vehicles, buses, and equipment.
• Conduct multi-point inspections, basic fluid checks, and part replacements.
• Assist with more complex repairs as skills develop.
• Support road calls for disabled vehicles as needed.
• Maintain safety and compliance with Shop Safety and OSHA rules.
