Job summary

Fortune Fish & Gourmet in Windsor, WI is seeking a Meat Packaging Leader to drive safety, quality, productivity, and team engagement in our packaging operations. The Packager I Lead role reports to the Meat Production Supervisor and emphasizes leading by example in a fast-paced facility.

The position requires hands-on leadership on the Night Shift (Sun-Thu, 10:00pm–6:30am), strong communication, reliable data-driven decision making, and the ability to manage training, safety programs, and

Qualifications

1+ year of foodservice production experience.
Good communication in English (written and verbal).
Ability to calculate basic math and read safety/operation docs.
Basic MS Office skills and ability to use standard software.
Previous machine operating experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Complete Packager Utility, Packager and Packager I training.
Use Leader Standard Work for daily/weekly/monthly tasks.
Ensure processes produce safe, accurate, on-time finished goods.
Embrace data-driven resource allocation and task completion.
Communicate weekly grinding department schedule and daily assignments.
Mentor production team members and coach behaviors per company values.
Attend and lead production room huddles on KPI expectations and safety.
Participate in weekly check-ins with the Meat Production Supervisor.
Support safety initiatives: HACCP, JI and JSA creation/training, investigations.
Collaborate with room leaders on training opportunities.
Support inventory control activities.
Other duties as assigned.
