Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a Materials Associate for the Plant - 12-hour Night Shift to perform receiving, shipping, and storage operations in support of production, with safe handling and accurate reporting of material movements.

Responsibilities include using forklifts and pallet jacks, verifying pack lists, entering SAP data, conducting cycle counts, and maintaining 5S housekeeping while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED, or basic skills assessment required.
• 6 months experience in fast paced industrial lean environment.
• 1 year material handling experience in a distribution environment preferred.
• Prior experience with RF scanning.
• 1 year experience as certified equipment/forklift operator in a distribution environment /active license preferred.
• Ability to read, write and differentiate numbers.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials; receive materials into the system and verify against Pack Lists.
• Count and weigh parts to check quantity accuracy and rectify discrepancies.
• Pick parts for shipment and package according to procedures.
• Operate material moving equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, order-pickers).
• Enter materials information into SAP and other systems accurately and timely.
• Support 5S / Housekeeping activities and safety policies.
• Transfer parts between bin locations and prepare for shipment.
• Meet FIFO standards and ensure material flow efficiency.
