Job summary

Atkore International in Thomasville, GA is seeking a Material Handler II for the 7:00pm–7:00am shift. You will bundle pipe, monitor product quality, assist with start-up or changeover processes, and keep the area clean and organized.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, some machine operation or mechanical skills, knowledge of manufacturing processes, and the ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

• Machine operation or mechanical skill set experience

Responsibilities

• Bundle pipe according to inventory and shipping specifications
• Update Hour by Hour boards and compare colors, shapes, textures or grades of products or material with templates or samples to verify conformance to quality standards
• Operate and observe machinery during production, assist with Quality Control duties utilizing quality tools
• Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to achieve productivity and site goals
• Adhere to all safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions immediately
