Job summary

Graham Packaging Company in York, PA is seeking a Material Handler for a night shift to support production lines, move materials, and maintain safety and quality. You will operate a forklift, follow GMP policies, and assist with inventory and material handling requirements.

This position offers a 7pm-7am schedule on a 2/2/3 rotating pattern, with weekly pay and a $3 per hour differential for night shifts, plus medical, dental, vision, and 401k with matching benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a forklift and prioritizing safety.
• Ability to follow GMP and company policies.
• Availability for night shift on a 2/2/3 rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

• Follow all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices.
• Perform a safety lift truck inspection and battery check and report any equipment malfunctioning or damage.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned.
• Review daily production schedule with Shift Supervisor, bring materials to the production lines when needed; notify supervisor of materials running low.
• Provide accurate information of unloaded materials as well as materials used or produced to warehouse personnel.
• Remove and store production scrap bales and inform warehouse personnel when there is enough for a full load.
• Maintain accurate records of materials being used and produced, and report them in appropriate paperwork.
• Remove finished goods and other materials in hold to assigned location; verify product codes on removal.
