Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Material Handler for the 3rd shift in New Bedford, MA. The role requires a high school diploma and 4-5 years of forklift and inventory control experience, with RF scanning proficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4-5 years forklift/inventory control experience.
• Experience using RF scanning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily safety inspection of forklift and work area.
• Communicate with the previous shift.
• Operate forklift following safety rules and procedures.
• Follow load limits and center of gravity rules to secure loads.
• Transport finished goods and raw materials to designated areas.
• Load/unload trailers and inspect entries before loading.
• Secure trailer wheel chocks and locks; complete safety sign-off.
• Wrap steel returnable skids.
• Turn in inventory tickets for finished goods.
• Keep wrapping area clean and organized.
• Perform housekeeping of machines and area.
