Job summary

Eaton seeks a Material Handler for the Night Shift in Kings Mountain, NC. The role uses forklifts to move materials, ensures accurate inventory, and supports manufacturing flow. Salary is hourly with scheduled increases at 6 months and 1 year.

Work hours are Monday–Friday, 11:00 pm–7:30 am. The position emphasizes safety, quality and teamwork and may require overtime, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Forklift experience required.
• No immigration sponsorship or relocation is available; candidate must reside within 50 miles of Kings Mountain, NC facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, lifting aids, and overhead hoists to move, stage, load, and unload materials, including truck deliveries.
• Validate part quantities and material accuracy; escalate discrepancies or safety issues.
• Support changeovers by coordinating with Operators/Leads and preparing required materials.
• Use FCS, Oracle, and WMS systems to maintain inventory data; submit IT tickets as needed.
• Maintain 100% transactional accuracy and complete forklift safety audits each shift.
• Follow safety, quality and ISO procedures; participate in 5S housekeeping.
• Collaborate with team to meet safety, quality and productivity goals; assist in training new employees.
• Provide cross‑training support and cover peer absences; overtime when required.
