Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products in Middletown, OH is seeking a Material Handler I to prepare and package finished coils safely, operate exit recoiler controls, packaging equipment, and drive a forklift.

You will verify finished goods with an identification ticket, prepare materials for packaging and shipping, quarantine non-conforming material, and communicate with Maintenance, Operations and Quality Control to meet company goals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, or experience.
• One year of manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate exit recoiler controls and packaging line; drive a forklift.
• Verify finished goods are identified with an ticket before moving to storage.
• Prepare materials for packaging and shipping of finished coils.
• Quarantine non-conforming material and notify Quality Control.
• Communicate daily with Maintenance, Operations and Quality Control to meet goals.
• Transport a coil using proper tools and safety measures.
