Job summary

Mars Incorporated in North Kansas City is seeking a Material Handler to manage end-to-end logistics within a climate-controlled plant. You will handle incoming packaging and raw ingredients, move materials safely using a forklift, and coordinate with production and shipping teams to ensure accurate inventory and on-time shipments.

The role offers a night shift (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM) with a 2-2-3 rotating schedule and opportunities to grow within a global pet care company that values safety,

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent civilian/military education.
• Experience: Proven experience in warehouse logistics, receiving, shipping, or material handling roles.
• Equipment: Demonstrated experience operating a forklift safely in an industrial or warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify incoming raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and components against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
• Use a forklift to safely unload inbound trucks and transfer materials to storage locations.
• Perform quality and food safety checks on incoming materials and verify supplier paperwork.
• Stage, build, and load outbound trailers for shipment and ensure proper labeling and FIFO rotation.
