Job summary

Oatey Company in Shakopee, Minnesota is seeking an assembler to perform a variety of assembly tasks for plumbing products. You will read SOPs, prepare components, and follow daily schedules to ensure timely builds.

The role requires basic math, accurate measurement, good communication, and the ability to operate machinery. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred and a HS diploma is commonly required.

Qualifications

• Basic math, reading and writing skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate machinery.
• Ability to read blueprints or willingness to learn.
• Accuracy in measuring.
• Decision-making skills.
• 1–2 years in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or Assemble components according to SOPs by reading, understanding and following procedures.
• Follow daily schedule for assembly.
• Prepare and assemble components and materials as needed for daily schedule build.
• Order raw materials where appropriate.
• Set up equipment and tools for daily build.
• Stage product and label where appropriate.
• Document completed and incomplete product.
• Other duties as assigned.
