Job summary

Pregis in Aurora, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician - Nights to keep our state-of-the-art manufacturing line running smoothly. The role offers a 5am‑5pm night schedule with a 2‑2‑3 cycle and opportunities for overtime income.

Responsibilities include performing scheduled and emergency maintenance, troubleshooting PLCs and drive systems, reading schematics, and documenting work in CMMS. Candidates should have 1+ year in manufacturing maintenance and an eye for safety and quality.

Qualifications

1+ year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
PLC certification preferred, not required.
Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
Familiar with maintenance work order systems and technical drawings.
Proficient with hand/power tools, meters, and material handling equipment.
Welding and machining experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on production and utility equipment.
Troubleshoot PLCs and AC/DC drive systems.
Read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical documents.
Complete preventive maintenance checks and document work in CMMS.
Support line systems (lubrication, resin delivery, etc.) to ensure smooth operations.
Communicate equipment issues to maintenance and production teams.
Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow sanitation protocols.
Track and report parts usage and inventory levels.
Follow all safety and compliance standards (OSHA, MSS, SOPs).
Perform other duties as needed.
