Job summary

The Simplot Company is seeking a Maintenance Support Technician 1 for Caldwell, ID to ensure efficient operation of all industrial mechanical equipment across the facility. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, lubrication, and sanitation in alignment with GMP standards.

The role requires the ability to perform welding and to work in a fast-paced plant environment. Typical education includes a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred technical certification or an associate

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required; associates degree or technical certification preferred.
Two years of industrial or food processing mechanical experience required.
Able to perform sound welds per welding code/standards for repair and fabrication.
Must provide required tools (see tools list).
Combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

Performs preventative maintenance on equipment in their work area(s).
Maintains safety, quality, food safety, sanitation and GMPs.
Maintains communication with team members and supports cross-functional groups.
May assist with training other plant personnel.
Ensures equipment is properly lubricated and inspected according to specifications.
Troubleshoots and repairs packaging, water recovery, and processing equipment to minimize downtime.
