Job summary

The Simplot Company is seeking a Maintenance Support Technician 1 at Caldwell, ID. The role focuses on mechanical maintenance, lubrication, sanitation and troubleshooting across the facility, from Raw Receiving to Water Recovery Plant, with decisions driven by sound judgment.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, inventory control, work-order management, and documenting shift events, while maintaining safety, quality and food safety standards. Welding skills are required for repairs.

Qualifications

• Technical/vocational certification or equivalent is required.
• Two years of industrial or food processing mechanical experience is required.
• Able to perform sound welds per applicable welding codes and specifications.
• Must provide required tools (see tools list).
• Combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment in their work area(s).
• Maintains all shop inventories, tools and equipment; creates and completes work orders.
• Coordinates or schedules additional work as needed and identifies parts for work.
• Documents, monitors, maintains, and assists with reporting of shift events and PM data.
• Ensures safety, quality, food safety, sanitation and GMP compliance.
