Job summary

Keel Midwest is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain engines, motors, conveyors and production equipment across our Michigan facilities. You will diagnose, repair and perform preventive maintenance to keep production lines running and minimize downtime.

The role requires hands-on skills with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems, welding and safe operation of tools. This night-shift position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 5 years maintenance technician experience.
• Ability to utilize hand-held tools and instruments for basic maintenance tasks (plumbing, painting, greasing, oiling, grinding, drilling).
• Welding and cutting with gas torches; troubleshoot machine controls.
• Follow maintenance procedures and maintain proper documentation; operate hydraulic and electrical/pneumatic controls.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and perform preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• Dismantle and replace defective parts; operate cutting torch to cut metal parts.
• Maintain facility utilities and ensure safety of personnel and equipment.
• Travel between facilities as needed.
