IU Health Arnett Hospital is seeking a dedicated facilities maintenance technician to support patient care by keeping building systems safe and reliable. The role covers preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and routine upkeep during the night shift from 11:00pm to 7:00am.

You will diagnose issues in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire systems, read blueprints, use hand and power tools, and coordinate with other departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license with proof of insurance may be required.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, fire and air systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
• Familiar with power and hand tools.
• Basic computer skills; healthcare building codes preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant maintenance experience.

Responsabilités

• Performs scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance on facility systems and equipment.
• Responds to service calls; troubleshoots and repairs electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire systems.
• Maintains interior spaces; finishes, drywall, painting, and touch-ups.
• Inspects and maintains specialized machinery per codes and safety standards.
• Documents maintenance activities and reports findings.
• Coordinates activities with other departments; supports patient care objectives.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
