Job summary

Indiana University Health in Lafayette is seeking a facilities maintenance professional to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hospital systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC support. You will respond to service calls, inspect equipment, and coordinate with other departments to ensure patient safety and uninterrupted services.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years’ experience, and a valid Indiana driver’s license, with basic computer skills and ability

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license with proof of insurance.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, fire system devices, and air systems.
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled and non-scheduled preventive maintenance on facility systems and equipment.
• Responds to maintenance service calls; troubleshoot, repair, and maintain secondary utilities.
• Interior maintenance including drywall repair, painting, and touch-ups.
• Maintains interior spaces and general upkeep of facilities.
• Inspects and maintains specialized machinery and equipment following codes and safety standards.
• Coordinates maintenance activities with other departments.
